Ps Joel & Sharon Chelliah

Joel and Sharon Chelliah are the Founders and Senior Pastors of Centrepoint Church, a vibrant multi-site church based in Perth, Western Australia. What began with a pioneering team of just 30 adults and children has grown into a thriving ministry impacting hundreds of people each weekend across four city campuses and one regional location. In 2025 Joel was also elected National President of the ACC.

Together, Joel and Sharon are deeply committed to strengthening marriages and families. Married for over 20 years and parents to three sons, they regularly speak across Australia and internationally, equipping couples with biblical wisdom and practical tools to build strong, God-centred homes. They firmly believe that healthy families form the foundation of strong churches and flourishing communities.

Pastor Joel Chelliah is the founder and Senior Pastor of Centrepoint, a multi-site church located in Perth. He was elected as the ACC State President of Western Australia in 2012 and has since brought a fresh vision to the State, leading to significant growth and improved health for 13 years. In 2025, Joel was appointed the National President of ACC. Additionally, Joel has served on the ACC National Executive for the past four years. With more than 25 years of ministry experience, Joel is a gifted leader and communicator. He has authored his first book, "The Chat," which equips fathers to have conversations with their sons about Godly sexuality.

In 2018, Joel was appointed Director of Harvestnet, a church-planting movement that is passionate about championing church pioneers in Australia. Joel and his wife Sharon have been married for over 20 years and have three sons. They have a deep desire to see marriages and families not only thrive but also be enriched. Joel and Sharon speak to hundreds of couples each year on how to build Godly, healthy marriages and families. They strongly believe that strong families build strong communities.

Sharon Chelliah together with her husband Joel are the Senior Pastors of Centrepoint Church, a vibrant multi-campus church in Perth’s southern suburbs. They are proud parents of three gorgeous boys, Levi, Noa and Micah.

Sharon carries a heart to see people of all ages restored to a loving relationship with God the Father through Christ. Her passion is to see individuals walk in the fullness of life and the freedom Christ brings. Sharon is a sought after speaker who has ministered at churches and conferences across our nation.
