CENTREPOINT CHURCH IS MORE THAN A SUNDAY SERVICE GATHERING.

Our church has a mandate to bring the Good News of Jesus to a world desperately in need
of hope. We fulfil this call by hosting programs and events in our local community that make
a positive change “beyond the walls” of our church. We also financially partner with trusted
not-for-profit organisations that are making a real difference around the world. Here are
some of the initiatives that we invest into.

BEYOND OUR WALLS

INTO THE WORLD

Group of women wearing Christmas-themed attire and hairnets, serving food at a festive outdoor event with a red banner that says 'Merry Christmas'.
People gathered around a colorful spinning wheel at an outdoor event, with a green canopy overhead and balloons attached to the tent. The scene takes place on a sunny day with trees in the background.
People at an outdoor food festival, some in red shirts, with food trucks and trees in the background.
Three people standing behind a table at a Red Frogs Australia booth, smiling and waving, with the man on the left holding a packet of chips and a sign that says 'SCAN TO WIN!' with a QR code. The table has rolled-up posters and bottles of sanitizer, under a tent with the website redfrogs.com.au displayed.
People gathered outside Geoffrey Bolton Library, with one person handing out snacks to others.

Crisis Care

Crisis Care supports individuals and families navigating tough seasons. From our Byford Pantry, providing food donations to those in crisis, to Feed It Forward Maddington, distributing unsold groceries to anyone in need, every initiative extends hope and practical help so no one faces hardship alone.

Schools

For nearly two decades, Centrepoint has partnered with local schools to bring encouragement, care, and community. Every week, our volunteers serve alongside principals and chaplains, hosting morning teas, running programs, and supporting teachers and students. Thousands of students are impacted each year through simple acts of kindness that point to the love of Christ.

Playgroup

Parenting young children can be isolating, especially without extended family nearby. Our Playgroup at Maddington provides a safe, welcoming space for parents and children under five to connect, play, and find support. Many families have found friendship, community, and even faith through this beautiful ministry.

Homelessness

Through our partnership with Homelessness We Care, our Byford campus helps to provide meals and hampers to people facing homelessness or financial hardship. Each meal served is a tangible expression of God’s love and compassion for every person.

Christmas

Every year, Centrepoint hosts free Festival of Christmas events across our campuses, last year welcoming over 3,300 people. These events bring together families and individuals who might otherwise spend Christmas alone, offering joy, connection, and the message of hope in Jesus.

Connect for the City

Every year, Centrepoint Connect Groups receive a $100 seed fund to creatively meet the needs in their local communities. From donating to Ronald McDonald House and hosting days out for kids, to supporting the homeless, blessing child protection staff, and fundraising for people with disabilities, our groups are making a real impact.

Harvestnet

Centrepoint was planted by Harvestnet, a church-planting organisation passionate about equipping and releasing leaders to start new churches. Since 2006, Centrepoint has helped support 13 new church plants across Western Australia through finances, teams, and prayer. We believe the best way to reach a community is to plant a local church, and we are excited for what is ahead.

Youth Alive

Centrepoint is proud to partner with Youth Alive Western Australia, a movement dedicated to reaching young people with the message of Jesus and equipping the next generation of leaders. Through large-scale events, school programs, and local church partnerships, Youth Alive is creating opportunities for young people to encounter God and find community.

Universities

In partnership with Red Frogs WA, Centrepoint runs weekly programs at Murdoch and Curtin Universities, reaching students who are often isolated and struggling with mental health. Our teams cook pancakes, build friendships, and share the message of Jesus. Lives are being changed as students come to faith, get baptised, and find community in church.

ACCI Missions

Centrepoint partners with Australian Christian Churches International (ACCI) to support missionaries and development projects across the globe. Through ACCI, we’re helping to see communities transformed, churches planted, and lives restored through the power of the Gospel. Our giving goes directly toward empowering local leaders, supporting families on the mission field, and meeting practical needs in developing nations.
